The principal care taker of all the residents of Mera Ghar, Dr. Naushaba works tirelessly for her girls. Her dedication towards this project is unmatched. Since 2017 she has carefully constructed a home for girls whom she calls her ‘little angels’.
Dr Naushba not only handles their scholastic expenses but also supervises the quality of education that they are receiving. She is in direct contact with the on ground caregivers, sets the menu, time table of activities, monitors happenings on the CCTV, ensures security and oversight at all times. The health, grooming and general wellbeing of the girls is her responsibility, she is their emergency contact and guardian. Dr Naushaba aims not just to provide her girls with academic training but also strives to ensure that they sample as many recreational experiences in life as possible. Along with recreational trips the girls are taught to engage in social welfare. She raises funds, invites new donors, maintains communications along members and directors and updates all the generous benefactors of Mera Ghar.
Her goal is to make Mera Ghar a sanctuary for at least a hundred girls and plans to construct a building that will serve as the permanent residence of her angels.
In a professional capacity she the Head of Department, Radiology, in Social Services Hospital, Islamabad. A graduate of Rawalpindi Medical College, Class of 1986, she devotes her time giving pro bono medical aid to those in need. She’s also running a Shelter home for disabled women under the name of, ‘Sunshine Homes’ that focuses on rehabilitation, reinvigoration and reintegration of these differently abled, incredible, women in society.
She is a resident of Islamabad where she has been living with her four children and husband.
