“Mera Ghar” is a non-profit organization, serving as an orphanage and shelter home in Rawalpindi. It was established as a safe haven for less fortunate women and young girls. This project not only provides a roof and warm meals but dedicates tireless efforts towards the education and grooming of the members of our family. Established in 2017, our family has grown to love and care for all of our residents. Our young souls fill the halls with laughter, joy and tranquility and allow us to make Mera Ghar a welcoming and homely institute.
Education and vocational training are at the forefront of our manifesto. We aim to give everyone that enters our doors an opportunity to become a productive and self sufficient member of this society. Along with the establishment of strong foundation and character, our girls travel, create and celebrate every day and moment with our volunteers and donors.
Our story begins in 2017, when we came across a gem that stole not only our hearts but all of our time. Hoorain, was a blessing and realisation of something that we did not know was missing in our then, home for elderly woman. Every addition made us feel more and more complete as a family and before we knew it, we re-established ourselves as a shelter for girls of all ages.
This year we have received a kind donation from the late, Mr. Rashid Naseer Khan, CEO Ufone/PTCL, to procure land in the name of our trust and build our ever growing family a purpose built home.
Our story doesn't end here, and we are fortunate to have you interested in becoming part of Mera Ghar.
Looking forward to hosting and opening our doors to you soon!
